[Rates] [Frequently Asked Questions] [Copyright Terms and Conditions]
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Subscription year runs from January through December. Subscription orders received before July 31st will start with the first issue from the current year. Subscription orders received after July 31st will start with the first issue of the following year.
SUBSCRIPTION TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Print Edition:
- Includes 6 regular issues of PDI, and supplements, which vary in frequency from year to year.
Online Editon:
- All prices are for a single site/location. If your institution has multiple sites, each site must purchase a separate subscription. For multi-site institutions (with more than 5 sites) please contact Multimed Inc. at subscription{at}multi-med.com for a quote.
- Who Can Access the Journal: An institutional, online subscription allows unlimited simultaneous Internet access by only "authorized users" at one “site” location, and does not permit remote campuses, remote sites, consortia, or other forms of subscription sharing. If your institution has multiple sites, each site must purchase a separate subscription.
- Definition of an "authorized user": An "authorized user" is defined as employees, faculty, staff, students, and consultants of the one subscribing location, whether on a permanent, temporary, or contract basis, who are permitted to access the Secure Network from within the one subscribing location or from such other places where Authorized Users undertake their work for the one subscribing location (including but not limited to Authorized Users’ offices and homes)] and who have been issued by the one subscribing location with a password or other authentication.
- Definition of a "site": A "site" is defined as an organizational unit, and may be academic or nonacademic. For organizations located in more than one city, each office is considered a different site, and requires a separate subscription. For organizations within the same city that are administered independently, each office is considered a different site, and requires a separate subscription. For example, each campus in the State University of New York system is a different site, each branch or office of GlaxoSmithkline is a different site, and each institute of the National Institutes of Health is a different site.
- Activation Process: Online access is provided by IP address. IP addresses for online access may only be entered for a range covering the individual library at a single location. For new subscription orders, once your payment is received and processed, you will receive an e-mail message directing you to activate your online subscription(s). As part of the activation process, you will be asked to provide valid IP addresses for the authorized users at the subscribing "site" only. For renewing subscribers, online access is active once payment is received and processed. If you are a renewing subscriber who does not know their customer number and has yet to activate their online access, please e-mail subscription{at}multi-med.com.
