HYPERTONICITY CHANGES THE PERMEABILITY OF THE MESOTHELIUM

Permeability of the mesothelium for small, middle and large solutes in a hypertonic medium was measured Hypertonicity in vitro. decreased the transmesothelial transport rate of albumin, whereas transfer of inulin was increased.
